What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda means “The Science of Life” and is the oldest continually practiced holistic system of healthcare in the world. It recognizes that everything is connected and interdependent and focuses on balancing the body, mind and consciousness according to one’s individual, unique constitution. Ayurveda focuses on prevention and self-care by bringing balance through lifestyle changes, state of mind, diet, herbs, yoga, meditation and more.
Jennifer discovered Ayurveda through her 20 plus years of studying and practicing yoga. She has always had a passion for health & wellness, and Ayurveda speaks to her with it’s emphasis on finding and maintaining balance and harmony with nature and life along with all it’s fluctuations. She believes that this offers us tools for health and wellness at a time when we need to find more balance in today’s fast paced world.
Jennifer studied Ayurveda with the American Institute of Vedic Studies under her long time teacher Ed Zadlo AD, D.AY, ERYT-500 (Acharya Premanand) and received her Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant Certification. She continues to study under Ed with the American Institute of Vedic Studies and has recently completed her Vedic Counseling Certification. Jennifer has trained with Dr. Vasant Lad at The Ayurvedic Institute in Marma Therapy and has completed her Yoga Teacher Certification in Philadelphia at Yoga on Main. She has also been a life-time student and practitioner of the Yogananda Kriya Yoga tradition. She currently teaches group classes and workshops in Ayurveda, yoga and meditation.
Jennifer merges her knowledge and experiences of yoga and Ayurveda to support and help guide people to discover their own innate ability to heal and maintain health and happiness.
